Caribbean Poker Codes and Hints

Internet poker has become world celebrated as of late, with televised competitions and celebrity poker game shows. The games popularity, though, arcs back quite a bit farther than its TV ratings. Over the years many variations on the original poker game have been developed, including a few games that are not in fact poker anymore. Caribbean stud poker is one of these particular games. Regardless of the name, Caribbean stud poker is most closely resembling blackjack than old guard poker, in that the players bet against the house rather than the other players. The succeeding hands, are the long-standing poker hands. There is little bluffing or different types of deception. In Caribbean stud poker, you are expected to pay up just before the dealer announcing "No more wagers." At that moment, both you and the dealer and of course all of the different players are given 5 cards each. Once you have observed your hand and the bank’s 1st card, you must either make a call wager or surrender. The call wager’s value is akin to your beginning bet, which means that the risks will have doubled. Bowing out means that your bet goes instantly to the house. After the bet is the face off. If the casino doesn’t have ace/king or better, your bet is given back, plus a sum in accordance with the ante. If the dealer does have ace/king or greater, you win if your hand beats the dealer’s hand. The casino pony’s up cash even with your wager and fixed expectations on your call bet. These odds are:

  • Equal for a pair or high card
  • 2-1 for 2 pairs
  • 3-1 for three of a kind
  • 4-1 for a straight
  • 5-1 for a flush
  • seven to one for a full house
  • twenty to one for a 4 of a kind
  • 50-1 for a straight flush
  • one hundred to one for a royal flush
