The Importance of Poker Position
Holdem is just about gamblers and position. All rounded Holdem players agree that position in no restriction Holdem is critically significant. Showing your hole cards in last position could be certainly more profitable than in starting poker spot. This is because a lot more information is assembled right before acting.
e.g., I was playing a $1-$2 no limit cash game at a local poker room. I limped in with 2, 9 unsuited on the croupier marker, just to partake in some excitement. Flop arrived A-A-4. The turn showed with a 7, making it A-A-4-7. My competitor made an additional wager of $20. I deliberated for a while, but made a decision to re-raise another $30thirty dollars over and above his $20. He dropped out and I take the pot.
Gambling at late spot offers you an idea where you sit by seeing how gamblers behave and wager. On the other hand, gamblers at starting spot might use their poker spot to check-raise the late seated competitors and corner them afterwords at the end. In Holdem, each ends, late and early should be bet cautiously.
